Building a New Cat Room, One Toe Bean at a Time!
Step into a world of whiskers, purrs, and pure joy at our Cat Café experience! Join us for a cozy, playful, and slightly magical few days where cats and community come together—all in support of Mitchell County Animal Rescue.
Thursday | 3–6 PM
Kick things off with the Appalachian Youth to Youth participants as they guide you through a fun adventure in “cat land”! Enjoy a one-of-a-kind live performance from Tsuki Usagi, featuring beautiful Japanese instruments and some of your favorite cat-inspired tunes from a studio that rhymes with Wibbly. It’s whimsical, it’s musical, and yes—there will be cats.
Friday | Relax & Unwind
Ease into your day at the Cat Café with Kintsugi House Tea, offering a soothing tea experience while you relax and watch our feline friends play, nap, and charm their way into your heart.
Saturday | 10–11 AM
Start your morning with a stretch and a smile during our special Cat Yoga class, led by certified instructors.
Saturday | 11 - 2 PM
The Cat Cafe is open! Enjoy tea from Kintsugi House, good company, and—of course—more cats!
Throughout the event, guests can enjoy 20-minute sessions in the Cat Room for a $10 donation, giving you dedicated time to cuddle, play, and connect with our adoptable cats. The Cat Yoga class is $25 per participant, with all proceeds supporting our mission.
All of the cats you’ll meet are adoptable and ready to find their forever homes. Every donation made during this event directly supports Mitchell County Animal Rescue and helps us continue our lifesaving work—including building a brand-new cat playroom!
Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up online for tickets, or consider donating or sponsoring this event. Come for the cats, stay for the connection, and leave knowing you made a difference. 🐾
